Research Philosophy
We have a strong commitment to clinical research to help quantify the results we see in our clinics every day. Clinical research requires a significant amount of time, devotion, and expense. We are committed to continue this process so that we can speak from a foundation of knowledge and facts about our therapy. We feel that patients should ask their healthcare provider for published evidence of their clinical results.
Throughout our literature, you will find both published and ongoing data from our files. We report our clinical statistics as accurately as possible, balancing these two goals:
- Creating scientific studies worthy of publication in peer-reviewed medical journals
- Advising you of our latest clinical results, whether they are
- pilot studies or clinical trials,
- studies submitted for publication, or
- studies published in peer-reviewed medical journals
We feel that we improve urogenital health in 60% to 70% of the women we treat, evidenced by the following facts:
- Early published studies report 70% success in improving natural fertility.
- A separate published study shows that we increased pregnancy success rates to 67% vs. the 41% control group, for women who received our therapy prior to in vitro fertilization (IVF).
- In a third published study, we improved sexual function and decreased intercourse pain in over 90% of women who come to us with these complaints.
- In a study published in 2008, Clear Passage therapists opened fallopian tubes in 61% of the women who came to us with totally blocked fallopian tubes. We can measure this aspect of our therapy quickly and accurately via follow-up tests by independent physicians. Results were direct from the patients' own physicians - we compiled the "before and after" results, and reported them.
Three studies on our work have been published in the prestigious international medical journal, Medscape General Medicine, Ob/Gyn and Women's Health. This journal, published by WebMD, is one of the largest peer-reviewed medical journals in the world with 2.5 million physician subscribers worldwide, from 249 countries. These three studies were further honored with induction into the US Library of Medicine.
Medical study abstracts are available for download and printing.
The published studies showed a significant increase in pregnancy rates for two groups of patients after our therapy.
- Patients who do not have any additional medical intervention after therapy
- Patients who undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) after therapy
The studies also showed a statistically significant increase in sexual function (91% of participants) and a decrease in intercourse pain (96% of participants) after therapy. Based on the study results, we feel that we can enhance urogenital health in most of our patients.
Subsequent studies on our work show significant clinical effectiveness in other areas, including:
- Improving IVF success rates for women who have not become pregnant in prior IVF cycles.
- Decreasing FSH levels
- Opening blocked fallopian tubes and restoring fertility
(successes include distal, proximal, mid-tubal occlusion, and hydrosalpinx) - Decreasing endometriosis pain
- Decreasing painful intercourse, menstruation and ovulation
- Improving sexual function
Our clinical data is examined in greater detail on the following pages, along with current published and unpublished study results.
