Published Success Rates
Following is an overview of our published and pilot study highlights and success rates. These are divided into various categories to make them easier to read. Footnote references following each statement gives the study reference for that fact.
Natural fertility success rates
71% natural pregnancy rate within one year of receiving therapy 1
Note : This rate is from our first published study. Ongoing success rates with natural fertility reversal are difficult to determine, because of the difficulty of follow-up 24 months after therapy. Judging from success rates we can easily measure (e.g. opening blocked fallopian tubes, IVF pregnancies after therapy) we believe that our natural fertility success rate is likely around 50% to 60%.
Pre-IVF success rates
67% IVF clinical pregnancy rate for women who received therapy within 15 months of IVF transfer 1
Duration of infertility
women in the above studies (natural and pre-IVF) were infertile for an average of five years prior to therapy 1
longest duration of infertility successfully treated (natural pregnancy/birth) is 12 years 1
Live birth rates
- 90% of women who became pregnant in the natural fertility study delivered full-term babies 1
- 33% of these women had a subsequent pregnancy and live birth, suggesting that this treatment may have lasting effects 1
- 79% of women who became pregnant in the pre-IVF study had live births 1
Blocked fallopian tubes
- 61% success rate opening blocked fallopian tubes 2
- 47% natural intrauterine pregnancy rate by the end of the one-year follow-up period for women whose tubes were opened 2
- 64% natural intrauterine pregnancy rate for women whose tubes were opened and were followed for up to two years 2
- 59% patency (one or both tubes open) rate for patients with proximal blockage 2
- 60% patency rate for patients with distal blockage 2
- 50% patency rate for patients with mid-tubal blockage 2
- 80% patency rate for patients with combination blockage 2
Hydrosalpinx
- 50% (4/8 patients) success rate opening tubes blocked with hydrosalpinx 3
- 50% (2/4 patent patients) had a natural post-therapy full-term pregnancy via the tube previously blocked with hydrosalpinx 3
Advanced age
- 60% natural pregnancy and live birth rate for women 35 or older in the natural study 1
- 57% IVF clinical pregnancy rate among women 41 or older in the pre-IVF study 1
- one 43 year-old pre-IVF study participant had four unsuccessful pre-treatment IVFs, then became pregnant and had a live birth with her first post-treatment IVF 1
- one 36 year-old pre-IVF study participant had three unsuccessful pre-treatment IVFs and one post-treatment, then became pregnant • naturally after therapy and delivered a healthy baby girl 1
- one 42 year-old blocked tubes study participant had never been pregnant and had two blocked tubes for ten years, then became pregnant naturally after therapy and delivered a healthy baby girl 2
Women with prior unsuccessful IVFs
- 71% clinical IVF pregnancy rate for patients who had failed to become pregnant in two or more pre-treatment IVF transfers 4
- 57% live birth rate for the above patients 4 clinical pregnancy and live birth rates in this group include a 43 year old patient 4
Increased sexual function
- 96% of study participants reported reduced intercourse pain 5
- 56% reported increased intensity and duration of orgasm 5
- 78% reported increased desire (libido) 5
- 74% reported increased arousal 5
- 70% reported increased lubrication 5
- 65% reported increased satisfaction 5
- 91% reported improved overall sexual function 5
Decreased pain
- 93% of women in the natural fertility study reported decreased pain 1
- 96% of sexual function study participants reported reduced sexual intercourse pain 5
Women with endometriosis
- 50% of study participants reported reduced ovulation pain 6
- 61% of study participants reported reduced menstrual pain 6
- 93% of study participants reported reduced intercourse pain 7
- 64% reported increased intensity and duration of orgasm 7
- 71% reported increased desire (libido) 7
- 86% reported increased arousal 7
- 79% reported increased lubrication 7
- 71% reported increased satisfaction 7
- 93% reported improved overall sexual function 7
Improving hormone levels
75% of women with high FSH before treatment, reported pregnancy or significant decrease in FSH levels after treatment (pilot trials)
