Charmaine, DPT
Charmaine is a Doctor of Physical Therapy based in the Midwest (Michigan). She has over 20 years of experience in the practice of Physical Therapy in inpatient, outpatient and home health settings. She also has experience in specialized areas of Women’s Health and Traumatic Brain Injury rehabilitation.
Originally earning her bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1997, Charmaine pursued higher education and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree through Utica College in New York State in 2014. She is currently certified in the Wurn Technique & Clear Passage Approach and is continuing education for visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute, along with her ongoing studies into Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy.
Dr. Charmaine continues to treat a range of conditions including geriatric cases, work related injuries, chronic pain, neurological conditions, post-surgical complaints, vestibular disorders, sports injuries, and women’s health using manual therapy techniques. She believes in her extensive experience as a PT, using a hands on approach results in a more effective treatment for her patients.
Charmaine has a real passion in helping and treating others. Being a certified Wurn Technique therapist she is able to employ a new range of techniques to treat a number of conditions that were initially thought to be extremely challenging, and to bring forth great results when all other means of treatment have been utilized and failed.
“To visibly see the enhancement in the quality of life of my patients following treatment is incredibly rewarding. Especially when other treatments have failed to resolve their problems.” Charmaine is fluent in English, Arabic and Filipino languages. In her personal time, she loves to travel with her husband and young daughter.
